Regular Giving

St Peter’s could not run without the faithfulness of regular givers. Whether it’s £20 to help us feed a vulnerable person at Safehaven every week, or £100 to help keep our ministries running effectively, compassionately and safely, every penny is used carefully in God’s work. You can support St Peter’s through monthly giving here.

Fundraising

Would you like to be part of our army of fundraisers? Would you run a marathon, arrange a sleep-out or do a bake-sale for St Peter’s? Or perhaps you have even more creative ideas too. We would love to help and support you, to promote your efforts and celebrate your successes.

Tom's Brighton Half Marathon

Although postponed for the moment, the Brighton Half Marathon is still taking place and, whenever it happens, Tom will be running to raise money for the Brighton & Hove Churches Night Shelter. At the Night Shelter, St Peter’s works together with churches from different denominations across the city to take in vulnerable men and women experiencing homelessness. We operate for 365 days a year, and use St Patrick’s Church as our central venue. 15 guests are given a home-cooked meal, a warm bed in a safe place and a hearty breakfast every day of the week. This has moved temporarily to the Circle in Portslade, which is a better suited venue for current social distancing for the homeless guests, but it is still run by our St Peter’s team.

If you want to give to this fundraising event SEE TOM'S PAGE HERE

Legacies

You can include St Peter’s within your will by the addition of a straightforward clause. Gifts from legacies can make an enormous difference to the life of the church and the impact on our local community. Even a small percentage of the residuary estate can be a sizeable amount, and contribute significantly to the work of our church, such as our Safehaven ministries, Youth events or bursaries for people who are unable to attend Focus. To help you consider what you possess and who you would like to give it to, see this template to help.

There are a number of schemes for free will writing, and low-cost will writing. Have a look at this summary: Free will-writing

To give a share of your estate to St Peters, use this wording: “I give ______ % of my residuary estate free of all taxes to the Parochial Church Council of the parish of St Peter’s Brighton (registered charity number1146642) in the Diocese of Chichester for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of an officer of the Parochial Church Council shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.”
